Welcome to Mobile Web & Applications Europe, 20-22 October 2009, The Cumberland, London
It’s all kicking off..
Once again the last 12 months have seen unprecedented change in both the mobile web and mobile social networking industries. Twitter has penetrated the social consciousness in a way never before seen and has arguably done more for social media than all that have gone before. This has had major repercussions for the industry as other sites look to what they can do next and what they can do better so that they stand out as the social networking site for the modern, savvy and demanding user.
The proliferation of Apps Stores has also provoked widespread action and reaction throughout the mobile web ecosystem. Never before has the user had so much choice, and never before has the user had so much technical knowledge. Instant web access and the ability to view almost any site, easily, on any device and platform is a pre-requisite for the user as they seek to push the boundaries of the mobile web further and further back.
For the fourth year running, Mobile Web and Apps, incorporating an exclusive focus day on Mobile Social Networking, will provide you with all that you need to understand, improve and profit from this seismic shift in our industry. Featuring senior representatives with a combined user base of over half a billion and a combined turnover running into $billions, our speakers really are those that profit from and drive forward the mobile web industry.
This year we are proud to announce several new features to the show. We will be running two exclusive apps showcases, allowing you to be amazed and impressed by the very best in new apps, widgets and add-ons. Our new conference formats, OpenFloor and UnPanel places the emphasis firmly on YOU. If there is something you want covered or something you want to give your opinion on, then stand up and do it. With the crucial changes within the industry at the moment we want to encourage discussion, not limit it to a break between powerpoints. Mobile Web and Apps 2009 is unquestionably the only event this year to answer all of your demands and questions and I look forward to welcoming you to London in the autumn.
